After 2 to 3 hours you hop in the safari vehicle to continue for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This park is known for its huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos, a large population of baboons, incredible birdlife, and breathtaking views. You can see giraffes, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, flamingos, and if you are lucky you spot a tree-climbing lion. In the late afternoon, you drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti

Early after breakfast, our safari guide will take you to Serengeti National Park, you will arrive in the afternoon and have your lunch at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge. You will spend two days in the park, with one full day Game Drive. Serengeti is the best-known wildlife reserve in the world. Covering 5,700 sq miles, (14,763 sq km), it’s larger than Connecticut. In the southeast portion of the park it contains Ngorongoro Neogene-aged volcanic, and Oldoinyo Lengai “Mountain of God” as it’s known by Maasai indigenous its the only active volcano in the region. Its ecosystem is one of the oldest on the planet, home to the early man who appeared in Olduvai Gorge about two million years ago. The patterns of life, death, evolution, adaptation, and migration are as old as the hills themselves. The Park is most famous for wildebeest migration. The wildebeest migration is the movement of vast numbers of the Serengeti’s wildebeests (Around a million), accompanied by large numbers of zebra (about 200,000), and smaller numbers of Grant’s gazelle, eland, Thomson’s gazelle, and impala. These move in an annual predictable pattern.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will have a half-game drive at Serengeti, before starting your journey to Ngorongoro. The journey takes 2:30 min (113.0 km) driving.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
