8 Days wellness and primates adventure in Uganda

 Recommended Cloths.  Warm cloths like sweaters and gloves, shorts and long sleeves, rain coat, long trousers and hiking shoes for the mountains.

Day by day itinerary

Day 1. Transfer from the airport.

Our guides will welcome you to Uganda the pearl of Africa, transfer you to your hotel. At the hotel, the guide will give you a detailed brief description of the trip and share a soft copy of the itinerary. The clients will then be given time to rest ahead of the early morning departure.

Day 2: Travel from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, the client will start on the journey to Bwindi Mgahinga conservation area at your preferred accommodation. Bwindi Mgahinga conservation area has five tracking areas namely Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, Nkulingo and Nyakagyezi we shall refer to your Gorilla trekking permits to select a suitable and closer accommodation.

Day 3: Trek Mountain Gorillas

After your very early breakfast leave your accommodation to the sector of Gorilla tracking according to your permit. You are advised to be at the briefing centre at 7:30am to verify your permit and receive enough briefing about the activity by Uganda Wildlife Authority guide rangers. At any of the sites selected there are always porters who can carry your bags during tracking experience at a fee.

You will be close to the Mountain Gorillas one of our closest cousins; you will be advised to the guidelines offered at the site because they are endangered.

Kindly remember to carry charged cameras, rain proof clothes, hiking shoes or boots to match with the terrain, on this day you will carry a packed lunch and enough drinking water. Your guide will brief you more about it.

This is a lifetime experience and you will graduate with certificates from this world heritage site.

When you are tracking experience is done early, there is an optional activity to visit the Batwa of Uganda where you can encounter the first life experience while they were living in the forest and the present-day life. They take you through their unique songs and performance on how they lived near Gorillas and other mammals. More importantly is their way of making fire using friction. This activity is done at a fee. There are curio shops for Batwa and other people of the community near these areas this would be good for anyone interested in shopping and supporting the women in the community.

Day 4. Batwa community visit

After breakfast, the clients will be taken to experience the life of the batwa community. And later travel to Kibale National Park

Day 5. Track chimpanzees, in Kibale.

After breakfast, we set off for Kibale National Park  where we shall do  Chimp Tracking in the Kibale NP where one can track chimpanzees in their natural environment. We shall also get the opportunity to learn about the ecosystems of the park including vegetation types, bird identification and behavior and chimp and monkey ecology. Although chimp sightings are not guaranteed, visitors stand a pretty good chance of hearing and seeing them habituated. Tours last between one and three hours and start at 8am . After  we shall have hot lunch at the lodge and have an early dinner and fireplace stories.

Day 6. Community visit

We shall spend the day visiting the local community and taking part in some activities with them like bee keeping and coffee harvesting

Day 7: Forest walk and bird watching

Kibale Forest has a wide variety of bird species and this tour will provide us will sightings of these birds.

Day 8: Transfer back to Kampala

After breakfast, our guide will take you back to Kampala/ Entebbe for the next flight to (Arusha) Tanzania.
